DRYLOK® Concrete Cleaner & Degreaser can be applied to bare concrete, masonry or stucco. Surfaces to be cleaned must be free of standing water. Sweep or vacuum the surface*.
Wear eye protection and rubber gloves when using DRYLOK® Concrete Cleaner & Degreaser. Apply full strength and do not thin. Pour, brush, or spray DRYLOK® Concrete Cleaner & Degreaser on the area to be cleaned, allow the cleaner to remain on the surface for 5 minutes and then thoroughly flush with water. For tough stains, apply DRYLOK® Concrete Cleaner & Degreaser to the blemished area, let it stand for 5-10 minutes, then scrub it with a stiff brush or broom and rinse with water. Avoid applying in direct sunlight or on excessively hot surfaces.
If the cleaned surface is going to be painted or stained and does not have the correct profile for the coating to adhere, you can treat smooth concrete with DRYLOK® Etch** or muriatic acid, according to manufacturer’s directions. A properly etched surface should look and feel slightly rough, like fine sandpaper. If the surface remains smooth, repeat the etching procedure until the surface exhibits the proper texture. Thoroughly rinse the surface with clean water.
USAGE STATEMENT: Prior to use, carefully read the product label and follow the directions. For technical information, warnings, cautions, notices, and additional information, download and read the documentation available on this website.
